March Ed. Meet n Greet

We will celebrate Womens History Month by hosting a Pop-up Museum for our March Edition Meet n Greet!
What is a Pop-up Museum? It is a temporary set up where community members bring a personal object and share a story as it relates to a pre-selected theme.
Why are we doing this? This is a community museum where everyone can participate. This is one of the many ways we want to build community and connect our personal stories to history.
The set-up? The room will be designed for each participant to place their object for viewing and write a short paragraph to describe why the object and it’s personal meaning. In addition, participants may share their story aloud. At our last Pop-up Museum, we recorded stories.
This month, we celebrate women by sharing an object and a story about ” A woman who has influenced my life”.
Join us Monday, March 25th, 6- 8:30 PM for a time of mingle and sharing. Bring an object that fits the theme, “Influenced by a Woman”, come to receive other’s stories, or both! We will have light hors d’oeuvers and wine.
We will have a special guest from Cool Girls will join us to talk about their advocacy for girls.
We are honored to host this event at WERD Studio Museum/ Madame CJ Walker Museum.
