Black Joy as Resistance

September 20, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Black Joy as Resistance is an observation of how zahra alabanza continues to curate joy for community and for herself. We will take the hour to dialogue and deep dive into the meaning of Black Joy and how she uses it for resistance, an on-going act against a system that was not designed for us. We will discover, through the technology of cultivating Black Joy, that there is a passage through the madness that offers grace and respite.
