Biking the 4th Ward, History of Development
October 28, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
On this tour, we will bike through what we called the Old Fourth Ward today. Our focus will center on the development of the area. Additionally, we will look at the significant history of the area to acknowledge its role in the civil rights movement and key sites associated to building Black Atlanta. Who were the people, what were the sites, and what is significant about them, are some of the questions we will answer. We will compare the history to what is happening with the hopes to think through solutions for place-keeping.
