Women Leaders Series + Brunch at Marddy’s Shared Kitchen

Women Leaders Series: Hamilton, Hope, and Parks
Women have always made history in Atlanta, the city itself is named after the legend Atalanta. This tour will share the stories and places that relate to several women leaders that created pathways that opened up the world for others. We will share stories of Mary Washington Parks an artist who grew up on Ashby Grove SW, Lugenia Burns Hope was a community builder and reformer, and Grace Towns Hamilton the first Black woman in Georgia to become a legislator. Their passion, commitment to community, and diligence to developing their skills as a leader serves as a playbook to leaders today.
In addition to the tour, we will have brunch at Marrdy’s Shared Kitchen, 1-3-= 1014 Fair St SW, Atlanta. For Brunch, the will be an option to order Chicken or Vegeterian. Civil Bikes will confirm which dish.
Bike Tour will be 11:00- 1, and Brunch will be 1- 2 PM.

Cancelation Policy- We encourage anyone who signed up to attend another scheduled event, we will provide a rain check. For those travelling to Atlanta, you are refunded less a $5.00 per person cancellation fee when canceled at least 48 hours in advance. If the tour is cancelled due to weather you will receive a 100% refund.
Logistics- For each tour a designated tour launch pad will be listed, we will include information regarding parking, transit, and driving. Tours are generally, 2.5 hours and if longer, the time will be listed.
Gear- We will provide a helmet if you are renting a bicycle from us. You are welcome to bring your own. If you are bringing your own bicycle, kindly bring your helmet. Although water and a snack bar will be provided and each tour has a stop at a local business for a refreshing or warming drink, bring anything you need to be comfortable during the ride. That includes additional foods and/ or drinks, sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing that is specific to the weather. Dress in a comfortable manner, athletic wear is not required. Finally, provide us with any necessary medical information in advance.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?Civil Bikes is all-ages tours and events, but there are age restrictions on certain events. Everyone, regardless of age, should carry a valid, government-issued ID with them. It is more important that individuals are able to ride a bicycle for bike events and will follow safety rules we will review the following at the beginning of any ride or event. Additionally, for any tours that will included alcohol, it will be notated and any participant must be 21 or over.
